About
Me

Until a few years ago, I had no idea what educational therapy was. Now armed with training, experience, and a toolkit of techniques to develop attention span, eliminate distractions, manage time, and improve reading and writing...
I help kids succeed—in school, among friends, and in life.

Lisa spends countless hours outside of tutoring sessions preparing materials for each week and providing feedback about her students’ progress.

I help children discover their strengths, rid themselves of shame, take risks, and go for their dreams.

Using a holistic approach that recognizes the emotional building blocks needed to learn, I work to break the vicious cycle of negative self-image and poor grades. By celebrating strengths and developing academic and social-emotional skills, kids learn to tame the hurtful voices in their heads that stand in the way of learning.

As a certified educational therapist and executive functioning tutor, I specialize in working with children with complex neuropsychological profiles—the umbrella term for learning challenges such as executive function difficulties, processing disorders, dyslexia, and ADHD.

When they find that they can succeed both with and despite their learning differences, disabilities can be demystified.

No two students are alike, and no two therapists are alike. I approach children with patience, a sense of humor, and an unwavering belief in their abilities. I listen to what they say and don’t say, celebrate their individuality, and help them set achievable goals.

With one in five children experiencing learning difficulties, your child is not alone.

I earn the trust of the children with whom I work to develop the academic, organizational, and social-emotional strategies that empower them. With the right support, children of all styles, abilities, and disabilities can succeed in school.

I find the strategies that ensure success, and more importantly, self-esteem.

Prior to becoming an educational therapist, I worked in television at Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., AMC Networks, and AOL. My experience steering organizations through periods of challenge and growth, nurturing the careers of creative people, and developing content for children has created the basis of my educational therapy impact. I am a motivator who sees the individuality in everyone and makes it their best asset.

And I love KIDS.
